Dr. Floyd W. Davis is a native of Richmond Virginia. He attended the Richmond Public Schools. He is the son of the late Deacon Medrith and Deaconess Katie Davis. He was licensed and ordained by the Cedar Street Baptist Church of God Richmond, Virginia under the pastorate of the late Dr. Benjamin W. Robertson, Sr. He is now mentored by Dr. Clay Evans, Founder and Pastor-Emeritus of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church of Chicago, Illinois. He is a graduate of the Richmond Virginia Seminary. He holds the Bachelor of Arts, Master of Divinity, Doctor of Ministry, Doctor of Divinity and Doctor of Humane Letters degrees.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Davis served in the Vietnam War. He served as President of the Chicago branch NAACP, the oldest and largest branch in the N.A.A.C.P. Dr. Davis served as a columnist for the Roanoke Times for over two years. Dr. Davis served as President of the Baptist Ministers Conference of Roanoke, Salem, Vinton and South West Virginia. Dr. Davis is the Academic Dean of Bethlehem Bible College. He serves as a Trustee for BWR Seminary. He has served as Senior Pastor of some of the most distinguished pulpits in America including the Pilgrim Baptist Church of Chicago, Illinois where he delivered the eulogy for Professor Thomas Dorsey, the writer of \u201cPrecious Lord Take My Hand.\u201d He has preached in the Progressive National Baptist Convention, Lott Carey Foreign Mission Convention, Illinois State Convention, Bethlehem Baptist Association, Virginia Baptist State Convention and Valley Baptist Association.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Davis is the Founder and Senior Pastor of God\u2019s House Baptist Ministry in Roanoke, Virginia. God\u2019s House was founded June 27, 2004 and has a membership of over 350 disciples. A new church edifice was dedicated in March 2006. God\u2019s House which is known as \u201cThe House\u201d sits on 7 1\/2 acres of inner city property. God\u2019s House was televised over WDRL-TV channel 24 each Lord\u2019s Day from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for 10 years.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Davis is happily married to Dr. Lajuana M. Davis who serves as Co-Pastor of God\u2019s House Baptist Ministry.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
